Second Annual Asentinel User Conference Highlights Configurability of Asentinel TEM Product, Features of Next Release

Telecom Giants AT&T and Verizon Present Plans for New Billing Platforms

MEMPHIS, Tennessee, September 28, 2007 - Customers of telecom expense management (TEM) leader Asentinel, telecom industry experts, and representatives from AT&T, Verizon and Levine, Blaszak, Block & Boothby, LLP (LB3) gathered at the second Asentinel User Conference September 16-19 in Memphis. Attendees discussed the features of Asentinel's TEM software product, Asentinel 5.0, while sharing best practices and insight into the dynamic world of the telecom industry.

Asentinel's customers, representing a broad range of organizations, from Fortune 500 enterprises to government entities, participated in roundtable discussions on best practices with the software, and heard from Asentinel's management and software development team on enhancements planned for the software's next release.

Several customers presented throughout the three-day conference, including Fulton County Government, Family Dollar and FedEx. Customers covered topics such as new reporting capabilities and use of Asentinel's Contract Control and TouchFree TEM features, as well as real-world case studies on how Asentinel 5.0 has helped them gain control of their telecom.

A focus group led by Chief Software Architect Jason Fisher and FedEx Business Applications Advisor Chuck Williams addressed specific questions and requests from Asentinel's customers, and discussed the options available to customize Asentinel 5.0 to particular customer needs.

More than 90 percent of customer requested enhancements make it into future versions of the software. Since the last user conference, Asentinel has implemented more than 300 customer enhancement requests.

"Our customers are an integral part of the advancements and enhancements to every Asentinel release," said David C. Perdue, Asentinel CEO. "It only makes sense to bring our customers together regularly to discuss the product, best practices, and future needs. We gain incredible insight from interacting with our customers this way, and we've learned from them that it is helpful to their companies as well."

In addition to customer presentations, Asentinel hosted two major telecom providers at its User Conference. Verizon presented its migration strategy for the consolidation of billing platforms, and AT&T updated clients on new enhancements to its billing platform.

"We believe it's important to hear from the major telecom providers about their plans for handling customer billing," said Perdue. "The resulting discussion between the representatives, the Asentinel team and our customers shed light on the future of both telecom and telecom expense management."

Other speakers at the conference included a representative from LB3 who discussed carrier negotiation tactics and contract terms and conditions; a representative from CA who talked about comprehensive IT asset management, and representatives from TAG who discussed trends in the industry relating to TEM and telecom procurement services.

Asentinel is set to release version 5.3 in October 2007. The new release will feature increased reporting capabilities, an enhanced customer interface and new telecom service types.

Asentinel's Web-based software has more than 60 cumulative years of development behind it. Asentinel continues to grow its list of Fortune 1000 companies and government entities that realize the power of automated telecom expense management.
